Sheikh ahmad Ar rifa'e and the dog
Back in the days during the islamic golden age, lived a great scholar by the name of sheikh Ahmad ar rifa'e, a great scholar who was dearly respected by many because of his vast knowledge and revered faith and zealous towards Allah s.w.t. One fine day as he was making his way to a majlis, he had to cross a small and narrow bridge first to get to the other aside however so happened, a dog was approaching from the other side of the bridge, upon seeing that, he tried to chase the dog by saying " shoo you dog, i am going to a majlis and I don’t want my clothes to be filth yakni najis by you (i.e. the tendency that they may collided is high) , with allah grace, the dog was made to speak, so the dog rebuked “ hey sheikh ahmad, you’re not supposed to look at me with such lowly gaze….it is true that if we collided, your clothes will be filth but that filth can be remove by using water or soil but what about that filth/stain of kibr yakni arrogance that is present in your heart??
